Obituary for Maynard LeRoy Adams Jr.
Maynard LeRoy Adams Jr., 66, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 25, 1957, the son of Maynard LeRoy Adams Sr. and Sondra Louise (Boice) Parra.
Maynard honorably served in the United States Navy working as a Machinist from 1976-1980. Upon returning home from the military he started working at Tidy Car as an automotive appearance specialist. He later worked at SA Industries, Marshall Brass and Stryker. Between Stryker and Marshall Brass, Maynard worked 24 years on screw machines. He retired from the Excelsior Company in Marshall, MI after many years of dedicated work.
Maynard is survived by his son, Dustin Adams; sister, Deborah (Joe) Franklin; half siblings, Daniel Munoz Parra, Ernesto Munoz Parra, Rebecca Munoz Parra; mother of his children, Debra Adams and step-mother, Penny Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Adams and grandparents, Elmer and Lucille Adams Sr.
Maynard enjoyed bird watching, metalworking and woodworking. He had a passion for cars and trucks and especially enjoyed showing off his 1969 Ford Bronco at car shows. He loved to read magazines and books. Enjoyed being out in nature and trips to Lake Michigan to watch the waves. Maynard was very loved as a father and son and will forever be missed.
At this time cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
