Michael Kent Born passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born to Martin and Elizabeth (Brockway) on December 9, 1956 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Michael was a solider in the Army. While serving his county, he received many special awards. Awards like an army achievement metal, honorable conditions award, certificate of achievement in recognition of faithful and efficient performance. On December 9, 1997, he married his wife of 24 years, Jody Born. They had a very happy and wonderful life together, starting as best friends for over 40 years. Michael had a recognizable and contagious laugh, always making him a treasure to be around. He was a simple and kind man, and very down to Earth. He loved being outdoors and traveled all over the country. Michael is survived by his wife Jody Born; sister, Cheryl Hopkins; nephew, Dennis; nieces, Jody and Chris and brother Gary Born. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Greg Born.

A celebration of life will be held in Michael's honor at the Time Out Lounge, 400 E Michigan Ave, Galesburg, MI 49053 on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 2-6 pm.
