Obituary for Michael M. Campbell
Michael Martin Campbell, age 77, went to be with his wife, Mabel on Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born May 6, 1943 to Murdock and Bernice Campbell. On July 10, 1968, he married Mabel Turner in Battle Creek, Michigan at St. Philips Catholic Church.
Mike joining the U.S. Army Air Corp and served for three years. He worked 33 years for Kellogg Company, retiring from the painting crew in 1996. Mike enjoyed building and cruising in his hot rods and could often be found at car shows in the summertime.
He is survived by his children, James (Amey) Campbell, Patricia (Bob) Axtell, and Marty Campbell; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister Beverly (Bill) Gray. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry (Claudia); sister, Barbara (Charles) and his beloved wife Mabel.
In accordance with Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Friends may send condolences or share a memory at www.baxterfuneral.com
