Obituary for Michael Lavonne Hampton
Michael Lavonne Hampton, 45, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. He was born on April 15, 1974, the son of Fred Hampton and Pecolia (Norton) Hampton.
Mike is survived by his Four Children, Mechiya Hampton, Miguel Hampton, Kyazhune Irby, Michael Hampton; Grandchild, Deevon Carmouche Jr.; Father, Fred Hampton; Three Brothers, Anthony Norton, Melvin Hampton, Isaiah Hampton; Four Sisters, Sherronda Hampton, Lakethesia Hampton, Shemeka Bolden, Kwanterryia Hampton; God-Daughter, Shakeyia Love; Special Friend, Kelley Royer and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Pecolia Hampton.
Mike will be remembered as a hard worker, with a likeable, easy going personality that leaves an everlasting impression on those he came in contact with. He loved listening to music and cracking jokes and he greeted everyone with personal nicknames. Mike was a devoted father, special uncle, especially to Kalli, and was excited for the relationship with his grandson. He truly will be missed by his family, all his friends, and everyone that knew him.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Tuesday February 18, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Family Hour will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, with the funeral service starting at 1:00 pm at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service with Elder Barry Fry officiating.
