Michael Allen Hurley, 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 14, 1946, the son of Allen Hurley and Alice (Eaglestone) Hurley.
Mike graduated from Bronson High School with the Class of 1964.
Mike is survived by his Wife of 50 years - Judy (Blain) Hurley of Battle Creek, Michigan; Daughter, Amy Lyn (Mark) Barnes; Son, Justin Allen (Julie) Hurley; Brother, David (Joan) Hurley; Granddaughter, Reese Hurley; Four Grandsons, Devin Barnes, Conner Barnes, Ethan Barnes, Bodin Hurley; Nephew, Kris Hurley; Niece, Kelly Hurley and Adopted Son, Dennis Organ. He was preceded in death by his Father, Allen Hurley, Mother, Alice Hurley.
Mike's whole heart was devoted to his grandchildren, he loved spending time with them, spoiling them, and his favorite - watching them play sports. He loved spending time on the golf course, rooting for Michigan State sports, spending time in Naples, Florida and enjoying his afternoon glasses of wine with his friend Larry Markwart.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Bronson Little League, checks made out to BYRA, 141 South Matteson Street, Bronson, MI 49028. Mike had a passion for youth sports and spent time coaching with his friend Dan Hand.
A memorial service will be held at the Holiday Inn, 12812 Harper Village Dr., Battle Creek, Michigan on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 4 - 8 pm.
