Michael Shelton Link, 54, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at his home in Galesburg, MI.
He was born May 20, 1956 in Battle Creek, MI the son of David Herbert Link and Ruth Gwendolyn (Shelton) Link.
He was a 1974 graduate of Pennfield High School and was later employed for 26 years at Alro Steel Corp until retiring in 2010. He served in Battle Creek for 16 years, Dayton, OH for 6 years and Niles, MI for 4 years.
Michael is survived by his Parents; his Wife of 32 years: Brenda Faye (Pruett) Link of Galesburg, MI; Son: Brent Link of Clearwater, FL; Daughter: Pamela (Link) & Michael Cooley of Galesburg, MI; Grandchildren: Alexander Cooley & Natalynn Cooley of Galesburg, MI; Brothers: Mark Link of Hattiesburg, MS and Paul Link of Novi, MI; and Sister: Shelly Hayes of Battle Creek, MI.
He formerly was an avid bowler and golfer. He was an passionate Michigan State fan and received the nickname "Sparty".
He attended the Community Evangelical Free Church in Niles, MI before moving to Battle Creek in July 2010.
Visitation will be held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Ralph Cates of Victory Life Church officiating.
