Michael J. Moore, age 70, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was born December 16, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Carroll J. and Gail V. Moore. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he would spend 30 years. He first worked as a Sonarman Third Class Petty Officer serving on destroyers; later he went into aviation where he retired as an Avionic Maintenance Technician Master Chief Petty Officer. He loved the opportunities to visit countries around the world, with a special fondness for Italy and its people. While in the Navy, in 1980 he met the love of his life Eleonore Kotkiewicz. They were married August 7, 1984 in Green Cove Springs, FL. Michael enjoyed fishing and collecting antique fishing lures.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Eleonore; son, Tynan Moore; daughter, Rebecca Moore; step-daughter, Karla (Ford) Wiles; father, Carroll J. Moore; step-mother, Connie Moore; grandchildren, Falcon Wiles, Truth Wiles; brother, Timothy Moore; sister, Alice Bellamy; step-sisters, Laurie (John) Turner and Debbie (Louie) Stalsitz. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gail V. Moore.
