My heart is so very sad. Mildred was a dear friend that I had worked with in the Children's Department at First Wes for many years. I loved the way she always said "children's " in her southern accent. She was such a hard worker and one that did so much behind the scene. She would prepare for the yearly Children's Christmas Program by taking all the costumes home to wash, iron and bring them all back on hangers, ready for the children to wear. We spent many hours laminating various bulletin board graphics and cutting out craft project for the Sunday School hour. Never tiring of doing the work of her Lord. She was a true servant of God and I'm sure she was greeted by God who said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant". She loved children and taught so many how to love and serve with a grateful heart. She is going to be missed so very much. Prayers to her family and to all who loved her.
