Patricia Dunn, 58 of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away at home on Thursday August 6, 2020. She was surrounded by several loved ones. Patty was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2019, but unfortunately lost the battle. Her immense strength shown throughout this past year was remarkable. Her kind, sweet, loving and gentle soul will truly be missed. Patty was a natural caregiver since childhood and got the nickname “Nurse P.” Later in life she became a nurse and continued to provide love and comfort to those in need. Patty was an amazing and incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. She was truly our everything.

She is survived by her husband Michael J. Dunn of Battle Creek, Michigan; her children Christopher Dunn Sr. of Battle Creek, Michigan, Stephanie Bolden of Mattawan, Michigan and Leah (Stacey) Dunn of Galesburg, Michigan; her grandchildren, Alexis, Abby, Maliya, Alexandra, Phillip Jr., Makenzie, Terence Jr., Chandler Jr., Trinity, Christopher Jr., Jayden, Adrianna and Aubree; her sisters, Sheley G. Lawrence of Portage, Michigan, Vonceal (John) Phillips of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Cynthia (Edgar) Edmonson of Plainwell, Michigan and Gloria (Dwight) Denning of Lansing, Michigan; along with a ton of nieces, nephews and other family members. Patty is also survived by her precious house pig Francine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vonceal and Thomas Lawrence; her son, Brandon Dunn; two sisters, Georgia Lawrence and Louise Corwin and her granddaughter Anna Dunn.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday August 14, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, Michigan on Saturday, August 15, 2020, 12:45 pm.
