Obituary for Paul David Bruce
Paul David Bruce Sr., 59, of Homer, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. He was born on January 11, 1961, the son of Frederick Bruce and Vermell (Boykin) Bruce.
Paul is survived by his Wife, Cecilia (Butler) Bruce; two brothers, Tony (Debra) Bruce and Wayne (Eileen) Bruce; brother-in-law, Markus Miller; sister-in-law, Heather (Jamie) Mainstone; four sons, Paul Bruce, Jr., Skylar Thomas (Kayla) Bruce, Alexavier Frederick Bruce, and Gabriel Blaze Bruce; three daughters, Candis Marie Ann Evans, Ronni Faith Elizabeth Bruce, Darby Grace Vermell Bruce; six grandchildren, Corban Michael, Kacee Leigh Evans, Andrea Marie Tidwell, Shawn Thomas, Valerie Renesmea Irene Bruce, and Chloe Amerie Hayes; two nieces, Nevaeh Mainstone and Trinity Miller; nephews, Jaden and Gage Mainstone and several other nieces and nephews that he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Vermell Bruce; grandson, Shane Thomas A. Bruce; brothers, James "Jimmie" Bruce and Ronnie "Sunshine" Bruce, and sister, JoAnn (Ralph) Bartholomew.
He loved to golf, fish, and have spirited political debates. Paul was a very sociable person, who could strike up conservation with anyone. His true love was spending time with his children and teaching them the life lessons they would need.
A private family service and a graveside service will take place at a time to be determined. Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to contribute to his children's education. Arrangements entrusted to Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service.
