Obituary for Peggy A. Olivarri

Peggy Ann Olivarri, 66, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away peacefully, at home with her family, on November 8, 2020 after bravely battling cancer for the past year.

Peggy was born on August 4, 1954 to James and Alice Montague in Battle Creek, Michigan. She graduated from Delton Kellogg High School in 1972. She began her career at Kellogg Company in 1980 and retired after 30 years of service in 2010.

In 1975, she met Ken Olivarri and they wed on February 22, 1980, going on to have 2 sons, Alonzo and Kenny Olivarri.
Peggy dedicated her life to being an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Her family meant the world to her. She was accepting of everyone and a mother to many children who frequented her home through the years. Her smile and laugh were infectious, and she filled the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.

Her passion was her grandchildren. You could always find her cheering from the sidelines of every game, smiling with pride at every school program, making the best chocolate chip cookies, happily chauffeuring children and helping whenever she was needed. She is deeply loved and missed by many.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 40 years Ken Olivarri; their 2 sons, Alonzo and Kenny (Kaitlin Asher) Olivarri; daughter-in-law, Jessi Olivarri and her three precious grandchildren, Chaz (14), Leah (12) and Darren Olivarri (8).

Also surviving are her mother, Alice Montague; sisters, Jean (Raymond) Shutt, Vickie Forman and Mary (Bob) Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Montague and brother-in-law, Rick Forman.
