Richard Broomfield, age 53, of Suitland, Marlyand passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Washington Home Hospice in Washington, DC. He was born February 13, 1960, the son of Johnnie & Ora (Warfield) Broomfield. He was a graduate of Battle Creek Central. Richard was employed with Bimbo Bakeries since October of 2008 where he worked in the warehouse. He enjoyed sports and cooking. Most of all he loved interacting with his children.

He is survived by his children, Richard Broomfield, Jr., DeSean Cork, Romero Broomfield, Shameka Armstrong, Riley Broomfield; grandchildren, TahVeayr Boykins, Toriano Adams, Jr., X’zavion, X’zarri, X’zarrionna Cork; mother, Ora Broomfield; brothers, Arnold (Robin) Williams, Andrew (Genette) Williams, Charles Broomfield, Fred Broomfield, David Broomfield, Michael Broomfield, Johnnie Broomfield; sisters, Vickie Broomfield, and Robin Broomfield. He was preceded in death by his father, sisters, Ernestine Horton and Mary Jo Broomfield.
