Obituary for Richard L. Sherman

Richard L. Sherman "Sherm" went to be with our Lord on February 17, 2022. He was born on December 15, 1930 to Alfred and Arta Esther Sherman.

Richard proudly served his country in the Korean War between 1951 and 1953 as a Paratrooper in the Army. He had many jobs over the years, but his favorite was driving truck for Baron Transport. He loved watching sports on TV, always a MSU fan. His favorite pastime was golfing at Binder Park Golf course. He and his friends spent many a day golfing and making friends. Dick Konospke, Jeff Jones and Toby were some of his best friends.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Laura Sherman, son, Richard Sherman (Angelina), his grandsons, Jack Sherman and Joshua Sherman and his great-granddaughter, Abigail Sherman, also many step-children and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Sherman, his mother, Arta Esther and his father, Alfred, his brother, Al Sherman Jr., his sisters, June Crowell and Leitha Williams.

Special friends include, Amanda West, Debbie Clark and Armina Behrendt.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12:00 (noon) - 1:00 pm, with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 pm.
