Obituary for Richard Spruill
Richard Spruill, 85, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born on March 30, 1936, the son of Richard Spruill and Callie Mae (Owens) Spruill.
Richard loved to go fishing and hunting. He worked for the VA for 40 years. He also liked to repair lawn mowers and small engines for people in his neighborhood to help out. Richard was a member of the Elks Lodge.
Richard is survived by his son, Joshua Robinson of Saint Francisville, LA; daughter, Cynthia Neal; siblings, Onita Hubbord, Roosevelt Spruill and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Spruill; Mother, Callie Mae Spruill, Father, Richard Spruill, Sr.; siblings, Ora Warfield, Liz Hughes, Cleo Carter, Margaret Agnew, Climon Spruill, Hunter Spruill, Walter Spruill, Louis Spruill and Jerry Spruill.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on February 2, 2022 at 11:00am, service to start at 12:00pm. A burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1:30 pm following the service.
