Obituary for Robert Benjamin Grable

Robert Benjamin Grable, 86, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away after a courageous battle with lung cancer on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 11, 1931, the son of Harry Grable and Millie (Lepke) Grable.
Bob was born and raised in Bellevue, and attended Bellevue High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Bob was a member of the VFW, Marshall Moose and the Eagles.
Bob is survived by his Wife of 56 years - Joyce (Jeffery) Grable of Marshall, Michigan; Two Daughters, Kelley (Larry) Rumps of Dallas, TX, Theresa (Darrell) Nyland of Columbus, OH; Sister, Bonnie Jean McEndre of Grand Rapids, MI; Three Grandchildren, Travis Nyland, Rachel Nyland, Hope Nyland and a host of other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his Father, Harry Grable, Mother, Millie Grable and Brother, Jack Grable.
Bob was very intrigued by motorcycles and tractors. He loved watching wildlife that would roam in the yard around his cabin. He could spend hours watching the deer, and rabbits. Bob loved going to tractor shows and garage sales to collect anything he could get his hands on. Bob was a kind hearted man that could never meet a stranger. Everyone he met, he considered to be a friend. Bob enjoyed traveling to Florida for the past 27 years with his wife, Joyce. His main love however, was his family, his farm, and making memories throughout the years. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date in the spring.
Memorials may be made to the Henry Ford Health Allegiance Hospice, 205 N East Ave, Jackson, MI 49201 or The Shriners Organization.
