Obituary for Robert Antonio Richardson

Robert Antonio Richardson was born on August 30, 1960, to Doris (Pulley) and Robert Kenneth Richardson in Battle Creek, Michigan. Tony was the oldest child and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1979. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and attended Wayne County Community College.

Tony relocated to Indianapolis later in life where he worked at the Hilton (Hampton Inn) family of hotels for over 20 years.

Tony was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his family and friends. Tony always maintained a positive outlook on life for himself as well as others. To know Tony was to love him.

Robert Antonio Richardson rededicated his life to the Lord and was a member of Unity In Christ Family Worship Center, under the leadership Pastor Rodney Cork.

Robert Antonio was called home on December 31, 2022, to be with the Lord in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family and life partner.

He was preceded in death by his father. Tony leaves to cherish his memory a devoted mother, Doris Hutchinson (Indianapolis); life partner, Pamela Guy (Indianapolis), two sisters, Stephanie Young (Indianapolis) and Asia Graham (Battle Creek); three brothers, Roderick (Evelyn) of Battle Creek, Robert Root (Savannah) and Antonio Thrash (Battle Creek); three sons, Maurice McClenney (Battle Creek), Jabree Richardson (Indianapolis) and LaQuan Smith (Battle Creek); three daughters Shenice Smith (Battle Creek), Jamila Richardson (Indianapolis), and Cameisha Robertson (Seattle); special aunts, Gwendolyn Ingram and Earlie (Amos) Eason; 13 grandkids, including one he was raising as his own (Jabrea); one great-grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Tony will be remembered affectionately as T-Rich for his generous spirit and infectious smile.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Rodney Cork Officiating.
