Robert L. Slattery passed away Tuesday March 27, 2012 at his home. He was born May 19, 1946, the son of F. Wayne Slattery and Irene D. (Schultz) Slattery. Robert graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1964. Robert married Carol Nash in 1975. He became employed with the Ralston Purina Company where he worked for over 30 years until retiring in 1996. He enjoyed golfing and traveling with his wife. They traveled all over and have many favorite places.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carol of 36 years; brother, Bill (Linda) Slattery; sister, Betty (Bob) Noffke of Battle Creek, MI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John (Jackie) Nash; 10 close nieces and nephews; uncle, Bill Schultz of Richland, MI; several great nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
