Obituary for Robert L. Stafford
On March 2, 2020, Robert L. Stafford passed away peacefully at his home. He was born February 7, 1953, to Marshall and Katherine Stafford in the town of Hastings, Michigan.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Animal rescue was another hobby of his; having housed several orphaned raccoons over the years. Robert was a quiet and simple man who loved being with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by daughters, Shawn (Tom) Barnhart, Katherine Caraway, Michelle Caraway; mother-in-law, Ilene McDonald, and many grandkids and great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond and Ronald; infant daughter, Nicole; most recently by his wife of over 30 years, Denise A. Stafford and son, Lucas L. Stafford.
In accordance with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the graveside service will be held March 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Mikki Sandlin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert’s name may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice of Kalamazoo.
