Obituary for Roberta K. Shivley

Roberta (Bertie/Bobbie) K. Shivley, 79, died at home surrounded by family on April 15, 2021. Bobbie had a strong faith in God and beloved that she would be called home only when it was her time. She enjoyed watching TCT, cartoons, and soccer. She was a youth leader for many young kids at the church her and Kirk, her husband, attend in late 80s and early 90s; all of whom considered her a surrogate mom, she was also loved by the neighborhood kids as the lady with pool and candy drawer.

Roberta is survived by daughter, Evelyn (Lynn) (Worthy) Robbins; son, Virgil Kirk Shivley II; grandson, Tommie Williams II; stepdaughters, Sue Bailey and Tamara Kivin; sisters-in-law, Keron Weigand, Mary Jane Shivley, Mary Beth Shivley, and Joyce Weigand; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews; dear friend, Fetina Hopkins and many friends and neighbors all of whom will greatly miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hartwell and Lucille Weigand; her husband of 38 years, Virgil Kirk Shivley; brothers, Hartwell, Kenneth, Dennis, and TJ; sister, Christine; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Virgil and Ethel Shivley; brothers-in-law, Jay, Gary and Donald Shivley; son-in-law, Kevin Murray and dear friends, Melvin Baldwin and Tommie Williams.

Her final words to all are to shed no tears for her for she is happy in the presence of her Lord, Jesus Christ and she wants us to rejoice her joy of being with Him and reunited with her loved ones that have gone before her.
