Obituary for Ronald Eugene Arras
Ronald (Ron) Eugene Arras, 84, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2022.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Elizabeth (Beth) and his dog, Zeus; eight children, Scott Arras, Glenn Arras (Candi), Jenee Wilson (John), Niel Williams (Lorie), Shelley Jefsen (Jay), Pat Arras (Jessie); stepdaughter, Theresa McDarmont (Rich); stepson, Gary Arnold (Lori); sister Diana Goodrick (Dick) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He worked for General Motors for 38 years as a journeyman mechanic at the Parts Plant in Lansing, Michigan. In his retirement, Ron enjoyed an active life with Beth golfing, walking their dog, dancing, singing karaoke, and watching NASCAR. Ron had a wonderful sense of humor; he loved to invent games for family events and was a talented jack-of-all-trades. Ron will be missed for many things, including his smile, giving the best hugs, and saying the sweetest “I love you”.
Ron was preceded in death by three children, Jo Dee Arras, Brent Arras, and D. Scott Williams; his parents, Orlen and Bonnie Arras; three siblings, Thomas Arras, Sally Arras, and Greg Arras; and one niece, Lisa Arras.
