Roy R. Byykkonen, 56, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 22, 2021. He was born on February 27, 1964, the son of Roland L. Byykkonen and Raymonda Kay (Hamilton) Byykkonen. Roy graduated from Hastings High School in 1982 and attended Western Michigan University. He enjoyed going to the casino and was an avid sports fan, he would watch whatever sport happened to be on. Roy was an animal lover and was always willing to adopt a pet in need.

Roy is survived by his parents, sister, Rose Bammer, brother, Roger (Faith) Byykkonen, four nieces, a nephew, his aunt, Shirley Smith-Linder, and several cousins,

In accordance with Roy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date.
