Obituary for Roy Allen Hyde Jr.
Roy "Skip" Hyde Jr., 67, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022. He was born on September 4, 1954, the son of Roy Allen Hyde Sr. and Olive Jean (Read) Gebbie.
Skip was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Battle Creek, MI. He dedicated 38 years to Toyota in Torrance, CA from which he retired. He was a hard working man and always gave himself to the job he was doing. Skip enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles and anything mobile, using his mechanical skills to make old cars new again. He was a huge football fan and could provide stats upon request to those who asked. He loved his family and made sure to do life his way!
Skip is survived by his children, Tracy Bocks, Stephanie Vanderhulst, Ryan Newhouse, Andrew Hyde; nine grandchildren, Chelsea, Kendra, Kelly, Jason, Asher, Bella, Simon, Abby and Lydia; siblings, Dorothy Nord, David Hyde, Mark Hyde, Donna (Terry) Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Gebbie.
At this time cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
