Obituary for Ruth Ann Coss (Beadle)
Ruth Ann Coss of Athens, passed away at the age of 88 on April 25, 2023. Ruth Ann was a graduate of Athens High School, class of 1952. She grew up and often worked on her parent’s egg farm at Bear Creek Poultry.
Ruth Ann loved her work in food service starting her career at Leila Hospital, now Bronson Battle Creek. She continued her work at Sweetwater’s donuts until her retirement.
Ruth Ann loved her TV westerns, Gunsmoke, Cheyenne and Wagon Train. Ruth Ann and her husband, Jerry enjoyed camping with lots of friends and many trips to Mackinaw.
Ruth Ann is preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie (Junior) J Coss Jr.; her second husband, Jerry R Green, and both of her parents, Richard and Gladys (Miller) Beadle of Athens. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Coss and nephew, Clayton Woodman.
She is survived by her sister, Janet Lewis of Battle Creek; brother, Jim Beadle of Athens. Also, by all of her children, Ronald (Margaret) Coss, Dennis (Linda) Coss, Robert Coss, Carol (Lloyd/Bub) Lake and Kathaleen (Tim) Boyer as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth Ann will be interned at Burr Oak Cemetery next to her Grandma Dora Miller with a small ceremony attended by family and close friends. There will be a joint Celebration of Life for Ruth Ann and Clayton at her sister, Janet’s home on Sunday May 28, 2023.
