Obituary for Sheryl Ann Meyers
Sheryl Ann Meyers, 62, of Portage, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020. She was born on May 18, 1958, the daughter of John Berand Nuyen and Jean Ilene (Marquis) Nuyen. She grew up in Galesburg, Michigan and graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School in 1976. She worked for the Wal-Mart Corp for over 17 years. Sheryl married Gerald Melnyk in 1979 and were married until he passed away in 1997. In 2005, she married James Meyers.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, James Meyers; two sisters, Debra Beger and Misty (Steve) Walker; four brothers, Tim Nuyen, Tony (Carol) Nuyen, Matt Nuyen and Jeff Norton; son, Jeff Meyers; stepchildren, Jennifer Graham and Jeremy Meyers and 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Nancy Nuyen and sister, Denessa Nevaeh.
In accordance with Sheryl's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the New Apostolic Church of Portage, 3600 W. Milham, on Saturday, September 12, 2020, 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sheryl's name may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice or the New Apostolic Church of Portage.
