Obituary for Stanley Wilson Sr.

Stanley Wilson Sr., 61, also known as "Stan Da Man" was taken from us unexpectedly. He was born on May 23, 1961 in Montgomery, Alabama on a 200 acre farm. The son of Isaac Wilson and Ernestine (Perryman) Cloy, Stan was raised and attended Albion Senior High, in Albion, Michigan.

Stan was known in the community as the Father of our neighborhood. He helped raise, nurture, teach and show many young troubled men in his community the value of family, and how to be a role model, all while raising his own children as a single father. Stan was the backbone of the family. If anyone needed anything, he was the first person to be called.

In the 1980's, he worked at American Fibrit in Battle Creek. He was known for repairing cars, rebuilding motors, fixing up homes and go-karts, all without reading instructions or knowing the name of the tools needed. A true "Jack of all Trades". In his free time, "Stan Da Man" enjoyed being with his kids, family and friends, telling great stories, roller skating, dancing, and riding motorcycles with his Bike Club "Satan's Sidekick MC". Stan made the best green for all the family events. We all waited on him to show up with those greens! The Legend. The Myth. The Man, you will be missed.

Stan is survived by his wife, Jennifer "Jenna" Wilson (Kerber); children, Shane Smith, Sergio Smith, Stanley (Trisha) Wilson Jr., Brent Wilson, Devon Wilson, Deja Wilson, Mercedes Martin, Mariah Martin, Michael Kelly, Antonio Kerber, Jasmine Kerber, Teciy Wilson; grandchildren, Brailon Jackson, Amiah Rivera, Jerrod Jamison, Skyvier Sango, Dakota Wilson, Justice Wilson, Sofia Wilson, Elena Wilson, Miah Johnson, Jaceon Cook, Danity Wilson, Natalyiah Wilson, Bakari Wilson, Stanley "Mateo" Wilson, Nyla Hazley, Kyah Hazley and Milani Williams; brother and sisters, Isaac (Mona) Wilson, Len Lewis, Jacqueline (Justin) Ludington, Jerome (Darcy) Wilson, Rodrick Wilson, Tamara Wilson, Jeremy (Angela) Bush, Cory (Tonyeaka) Williams, Jimmatta Jones, James Richland, Bonita Wilson, Paul Warren; step-mother, Diane Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Wilson; sister, Lisa Wilson-Etchison; brother, Myron Swift and son, Shefrin Smith.
