Obituary for Stephen Basil Worm
Stephen Basil Worm, 66, of Battle Creek, MI passed away on May 16, 2021.
Stephen is survived by his Children, Travis Worm and Tricia Worm both of Battle Creek; His Dog, Samuel Bowser; Siblings, Andrew (Jette) Worm of Battle Creek, Linda Long of Climax, Leigh (John Garry) Rothwell of Ceresco, Nancy Slocum of Harbor Springs, Diana Redman of Traverse City and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Basil and Dorothy Worm; Wife, Linda Worm; Mother-In-Law, Marjorie Kiehart; Brothers-In-Law, Tom Slocum, Dale Redman and John Long and a Nephew and Great Nephew.
Stephen graduated from Springfield High School with the Class of 1973. He was a hard worker and was well-known for his time cutting meat at Wayne's Market. He also worked at Meijer and Grever's Landscaping.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and was known as Papa Steve by Raelyn and Christopher Paul. Stephen loved to hunt, fish, and camp. Traveling to Traverse City and going to the Cherry Festival was something he also enjoyed doing. Steve collected Budweiser mugs, and loved knowing he would be getting a new one on Christmas.
Stephen will be greatly missed by his family and many friends that he had made throughout his life.
There will be a memorial service held at the Battle Creek Friends Church, 1305 Olive Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014, on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 starting at 3:00 pm. There will be a dinner provided after the service, also taking place at the church.
