Condolence From: Melinda Mitchell
Condolence: The BCCHS class of 1970 is saddened to hear of Steve's passing. We remember him fondly. He always attended the class reunions. I personally talked to him at least once a year when he voted at his election precinct as I am a worker there.

Condolence From: Bryan Mayes
Condolence: I had the pleasure of coming to know Steve almost 20 years ago. He was one of my first journeymen when I was a green first year electrical apprentice. His unrelenting positivity always made him great to work with. As time went on, I was invited to play on his indoor soccer team. Despite our polar opposite demeanors on the field, we had a great time. If you couldn't see him smiling you could hear him whistling. We can all take a lesson from this. God bless you Steve. And God bless your family.

Condolence: I will tell my daughter how Steve always asked about her and how he always had a kind word for me. He was one of the first people to know about the big events in my life, my doctoring, my marriage, my journey to the US, my life as a mother. I will never forget him and I will miss him very much!

Condolence From: Kalamazoo Det #879 - Marine Corps League
Condolence: Dear Franklin Family, Steve was a competent and dutiful officer of this detachment, volunteering his time and skills for the benefit of the Marine Corps League and our community. Not only that, he was just an all-around good dude. He often helped himself by helping others. He is remembered fondly. We stand one less good Marine this day. Semper Fi, Steve.
