Obituary for Tammy Jo Allen
Tammy Jo Allen, 59, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away surrounded by family, on Friday, December 13, 2019. She was born on September 14, 1960, the daughter of Daniel Grant Matthews and Julaine Rae (Welton) Matthews. She worked as a dental hygienist for 24 years with Kellogg & Latz in Jackson. Tammy loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed spending time outside.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Kevin; two daughters, Kaitlin Allen and Jill (Cassidy) Butler; two sisters, Linda Rowse and Diane Matthews and grandson (on the way), Magnus. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Grant Matthews, mother, Julaine Rae Matthews, and brother, Gordon Matthews.
The visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday December 19, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and a private family burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tammy's name may be made to: Arbor Hospice, 2366 Oak Valley Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
