Thomas Walter Censke , 69, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at . He was born on September 18, 1952, the son of the late Carl Censke and Pauline (Bailey) Messner.
Tom was a 1970 graduate of Lakeview High School and then served in the US Army where he received a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Sharp Shooter Badge. He was employed at the Federal Center as a computer specialist for 32 years until retiring in 2003.
Tom is survived by his Wife of 45 years, Judy L. (Towery) Censke; Son, Donald (Laurie) Thurman; Grandchildren, Brittany & Brody Thurman; Sisters, Virginia (Mike) Uptgraft and Deborah Censke; Brothers, Carl Censke, Jr., Mike (Patty) Cevey, Mike Censke and David (Gina) Censke.
Tom loved driving his John Deere and Kabota tracters, mowing his yard, the outdoors. He would help anyone who needed help. He was a huge UofM football fan. He especially loved spending time with his son and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on Sunday May 15, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Steve Olmstead officiating
Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
