Obituary for Timothy J. Davids

Timothy James Davids died on Friday February 5, 2021. He was 65. He was born October 9, 1955 in Fowlerville, Michigan to William Warren Davids and Dorothy Louanna (Van Paemel) Davids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Candy S. Davids in 2020; his brother, Jonathan Davids in 1963 and his father, William W. Davids in 1988. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy L. Davids; his children, Christopher (Andrea) Davids, Andrea (Devon) Martin, and Derek Davids; five grandchildren, Daniella, Jacob, Andre, Eli and Liam; siblings, Mark (Cathy) Davids, and Dwayne (Kathy) Davids and many more loved and esteemed nieces, nephews and cousins.

One of Timothy's greatest accomplishments was his dedication and baptism on January 17, 1970 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This began his 51-year walk of faith with Jehovah God. He was faithful to the end and put all his trust in his God Jehovah and truly relied on him. He truly enjoyed his volunteer Bible educational work to teach others of the coming Kingdom hope and was a constant encouragement to others with his love and kindness.

He attended Marshall Public Schools and graduated in 1973. Timothy married his childhood sweetheart Candy (Hoyt) on July 10th, 1976. Timothy was a loving and devoted husband for almost 44 years.

Timothy learned the trade from his Father on how to buy and sell cars. He loved working on cars and was a true car enthusiast at heart. He worked with his father through Davids Auto Sales which was started in 1971 and later started Showcase Auto Sales in Marshall with his brother Dwayne in 1989.

Not only did Timothy have a passion for cars but he also loved collecting antique bicycles and furniture. One great quality of Tim's was he always invested in people. He loved helping people and always wanted to put a smile on their face. He truly put others' needs ahead of even his own. Tim had a very generous heart and genuinely cared for others making them feel special and loved. He had such an amazing positive attitude and he loved life to the fullest, he was always upbeat and happy not to mention his contagious laughter. You couldn't help but laugh and enjoy your time with him. Tim had a deep love for his family and he had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. His children called their dad their hero and best friend, and even as adults, still see him that way. He was always there for them through their ups and downs and his most precious students were his children whom he taught to love & trust in the same God he truly loved. Tim will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

The family wishes to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for all the constant loving support through prayers, calls, cards and words of encouragement that helped to keep them going through these most difficult times. It will never be forgotten…

In accordance with Tim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will take place at a later date.
