Obituary for Tomas Carlos Salas
Tomas Salas, 94, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Reflections Memory Care. He was born on February 17, 1927, the son of Jose and Elena (Bernal) Salas.
Tomas was an avid member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek, MI.
Tomas is survived by his Beloved Wife of 64 years, Dora "Janie" Salas; Sons, Thomas C. (Traci) Salas, Jose (Elvia) Salas; Daughter, Lupe (Frank W.) Arnett; Grandchildren, Mario (Jennie), Anthony (Jenny), Matthew (Kat), Alexa, Savanna (Tyler), Brittany (Ben), Gabbie, Nathan (Katie), Mandi (James), 13 Great Grandchildren and all his extended family members and friends that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his Parents and his Brothers and Sisters.
Tomas loved golf, even earning himself two Holes In One. It did not matter if he was playing or watching, he loved the sport. He loved to BBQ, especially every Sunday for the family dinners. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren sporting events, being an expert crossword enthusiast, reading and watching sports on TV, especially the Dallas Cowboys. His family will deeply miss his wonderful sense of humor and pranks that he was often in charge of.
To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place. Per his request, no services will be held.
