Obituary for Tracy Annette Fleming

Tracy went home to rest at age 52 on April 20, 2022, after courageously battling cancer. She was born on April 11, 1970, to Donna Fleming and Leon Finnie in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Tracy graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1988. While attending Battle Creek Public Schools, Tracy played several sports such as softball, basketball, and bowling. She worked fifteen years at Piper products and later went on to work at Ralston Purina Co. Tracy had also taken college courses at Kellogg Community College.

Tracy was an incredible mother to two beautiful daughters, Danesha LeBlanc and Chantelle LeBlanc, which she shared with former spouse Charles LeBlanc. Tracy was a loving and caring woman. She made sure to incorporate this into her motherhood. As a mother, Tracy was warm-hearted, generous, and kind. She worked hard to provide for her daughters; she motivated & encouraged them to accomplish their goals and never give up.

In her free time, Tracy took delight in spending time with her family and friends. Especially going over to her grandma Sue's house. Tracy also enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, going to amusement parks and loved shopping; she was even voted Best dresser while attending Lincoln Elementary.” She was also praised for her drawing and poetry skills.

Tracy was the definition of strength. Tracy endured so much in her lifetime. However, she never let any of this stop her from taking care of business. Tracy cherished her faith . As a young adult, Tracy was baptized at Unity Missionary Baptist church. In her later years, she attended New harvest Christian Center which subsequently became her church home. Tracy followed the Golden Rule in life. " Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Tracy will truly be missed by her loved ones. She bravely battled cancer for eight years, though it’s her spirit that won the fight. We will cherish the memories that we shared with her and although it saddens us to no longer have her here with us, we relish in knowing she is in a better place. We tearfully celebrate her life, her legacy, and with heavy hearts, we say in solidarity, “it’s not good bye, see you later.” For we know to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ and we will meet again one day. Goodbye to an incredible woman. A beautiful mother, daughter, sister, aunt , niece and granddaughter.

Tracy was preceded in death by grandparents, Susie Lewis, Willie Jackson, Rosie Finnie, and uncle, David Lewis.

Tracy leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Danesha LeBlanc and Chantelle LeBlanc, parents, Donna Fleming and Leon Finnie, and a host of siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Family hour will be held at the New Harvest Christian Center on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm with the funeral service to celebrate the life of Tracy immediately following at 1:00 pm.
