Obituary for Troy Thomas Hoag

Troy Thomas Hoag, 48, of Essexville, Michigan, passed away suddenly in his home on Thursday. March 26, 2020.
He was born on September 23, 1971 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Thomas and Patricia (Cunic) Hoag.
He was a 1990 graduate of Athens High School. He attended Olivet College. He was employed at Consumers Energy for 28 years. Troy was currently a trainer at Karn Weadock Plant in Essexville, Michigan. Troy was a member of the Utility Workers Union of America. He loved to go trail riding with his Jeep. He was the former owner of Thumper’s Customs in Bay City. He has been a supporter of the TRITT Foundation since 2016.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia of Battle Creek, his sister Christina (Tina) and niece Erica of Parma along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and his 4 grandparents Richard and Frances Cunic and Duane and Ruth Hoag.
He is being cremated and arrangements will be made at a later date for his inurnment at Memorial Gardens Park in Battle Creek.
Because of his love for animals and especially for his dogs Dexter, Lexie and Thumper, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Humane Society of Bay County at 1607 Marquette Avenue, Bay City, MI 48706.
