Obituary for Valela Prosser
Valela Prosser, age 67, died on November 5, 2021 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was born on August 1, 1954 to Allen Hillian Sr and Luetisher (Powe) Hillian.
Valela graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Valela loved dancing and roller skating. She also loved cooking and making meals for everyone that she loved. Family was very important to Valela. She was also the house everyone would want to trick or treat at because she loved to hand out candy on Halloween. She loved sweets and candies.
Valela was also a social butterfly and could make friends with just about anyone. Her kindness made her easy to talk to and everyone loved to be around her. She also loved cats, always having a cat by her side. She loved to make people laugh with her playful and sassy personality. Valela she also loved to play board games, yatzee and bingo. Which, she was quite the winner getting knick knacks and other trinkets for her winnings. She was a very well kept and classy woman, coordinating her outfits and always dressed to the nines. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Missionary Church.
She is survived by her children, Lakeysa Smith and Lennard Smith; siblings Kitty Hillian, Linda P.(Curtis) Jones, Julius Powe; grandchildren, Lennard Smith Jr., Landen Smith, Leonna Smith, Tyshawn Rowe, Joshua Mann and great grandchilden Liam.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, James Prosser and siblings Dorothy Brody, Susan Hillian and Randy Hillian.
