Obituary for Valerie Gail Lick
Heaven gained another star with the presence of Valerie Gail Lick on May 11, 2021. Leaving behind a loving aunt, uncle, sister, and a host of nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, friends of a lifetime, and special friend, Tellie. Tending her last days, Melissa, (Angel of Mercy) her niece, and her beloved cat, “Miss Kitty”
Gail was born November 23, 1951 to Clifton G. Lick and Mary A. Lick. Gail began her working career as a Registered Nurse. She chose later not to pursue that career and moved into industrial jobs and ended her work life in Battle Creek Public Schools.
Gail possessed a giving heart, greener pastures-crossed fences, some satisfactory and some disappointing. Her passion as a collector of various antiques and coins was her pastime, but nature was her fantasy. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and autumn colors gave her great joy. She was a person with a strong mind, a giving heart and a constant search for excitement.
Preceding her in her journey, father, Clifton G. Lick; mother, Mary A. Lick; brother, Fred S. Carr; sister, Emma J. Doke, Happy Reunion Gail!!!
Visitation will be held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation, 375 W. Dickman Rd. Battle Creek on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
