Obituary for Vickie Waters
Vickie Waters passed away on Thursday March 31, 2022 at the age of 66 at her sister Karen Belles’ home. Vickie was born August 20, 1955 in Battle Creek to Robert and Minnie (Guthrie) Paige.
Vickie grew up in Battle Creek before moving to Dowling, Michigan. Vickie had retired from her job at Denso Air Systems in Battle Creek. She had also previously been employed at the Battle Creek Federal Center.
Vickie along with her late husband Donald enjoyed spending her summers at Tri-Lakes Trails campgrounds in Marshall. She also loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Vickie was an avid reader, particularly of the crime fiction, mystery, and horror genres. She was a constant fixture in Hastings at all of her children’s football games, wrestling matches, baseball games, and band performances.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, and her sister Julie.
She is survived by her 3 children: Justin, who currently resides in Washington with Vickie’s granddaughters Layla and Nadia; Lucas who resides in California; and Meredith, who resides in Michigan with Vickie’s granddaughter Alanna.
