Obituary for Victor Martin Green

Victor M. Green passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He was born on June 7, 1954 to Richard and Beverly Green. He graduated from Harper Creek High School. He worked several years as a meat-cutter. He later retired from Semco Energy with 30 years of dedicated service.

On August 25, 1979 he married Kay Simmons Green. They enjoyed 43 years of marriage.

Vic enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time Up North, his favorite times were spent surrounded by his family. He dearly loved them, especially his grandchildren.

Vic is survived by his wife, Kay; sister, Marsha (Jerry) Moore; daughters, Julie (Kris) Kern, Dawn Simmons; grandchildren, Taylor (James) McLaren, Maia Kern, Zoie Kern, Xander Kern, Brayden Sybesma, Broderick Hanger and Samantha (David) Lidman; great grandchildren, Logan and Aubree McLaren and Everly and Ezra Lidman; special nieces, Pam (Bill) Sween, Stephanie (Corey) Morris, Kaytlynne Morris and several other nieces and nephews. He acquired many dear friends over the years especially during hunting season while processing deer. During this time, many beers, stories and laughs were shared.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Doug.

A gathering for friends and family will take place on February 19, 2023 at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service in Battle Creek from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.

Graveside services for family will be held at a later date.
