Obituary for Victoria P. Lackey

Victoria Pauline Lackey, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. She was born on March 13, 1936, the daughter of the late John Varndell and Mary Elizabeth (Wedell) Varndell. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church. Victoria was a foster mother for several children. She was employed at many cereal factories including Post, Kellogg, Campbell's Soup, Ralston's, as well as at Shay Model A & T. She was an avid bowler; she enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and enjoyed her time at the casino. She will be dearly missed by family, friends and others.

Victoria is survived by her three daughters, Bobbie Jo Lackey, Karen Lackey-Black and Deanna Lackey-Mann; nine grandchildren, Tonya Cichy, Joshua Black, Joseph Black, Brandon LaFountain, Trevor LaFountain, Brent Mann, Brian Mann, Bruce Mann and Bradley Mann; 17 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; four sisters, Lorna May, Roberta Barkley, Loretta Howard and Joyce Seaman. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 55 years, Gordon Lackey.

In accordance with Victoria's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
