Violet Arlene Keown, age 91, of Battle Creek, went to see her Lord Jesus, on Saturday December 21st, 2019. Violet was born September 3rd, 1928 in Battle Creek to Rolla and Susie (France) Long. Violet resided in Battle Creek where she was a resident of Eastside A.F.C. home for over sixteen years. Violet loved to listen to christian/country music and be outdoors here. She loved spending some days of the week socializing and having fun playing cards, bingo, and doing puzzles at Senior Partners (Centra Care) where she made many friends. She also loved spending time with lots of animals such as Ladybug, the dog at her home. Violet was loved and adored by many and will be deeply missed.

Violet’s surviving children include Rosemary, Susie, Candance, and Steve (Kori) Snyder, following by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Rolla and Susie (France) Long, two brothers, RD. and Robert, three sisters, Maybelle, Juanita and Thelma (Mickie), and two husbands, Franklin French and Willard Keown.

In accordance with Violet’s wishes, cremation has taken place and private memorial service will take place at a later date.
