Obituary for Virgie Mae Lake (Ellis)

Virgie Mae Lake, 64, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on May 30, 1955, the daughter of Richard Richmond Ellis and Clara Mae (Pierce) Osborne.
She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Virgie and Brian were active members of the Sunset Cruisers Car Club in Battle Creek.
Virgie is survived by her Husband, Brian W. Lake; Two Daughters, Melissa Hacker, Michelle Schira; Five Sons, Kieran Ellis, Scott Schira, Kevin Schira, Chris Lake, Brian Lake Jr.; Four Brothers, Richard Ellis, David Ellis, Jim Osborne, Bill Osborne; Sister, Frances Crawford; 9 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Fur Babies and a host of all other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Brothers, Guy Ellis, Carl Ellis, Clarence Osborne, Jim Blanchard, Harley Robert Ellis, Sisters, Marty Goins, Betty Ledbetter and 1 Fur Baby.
Virgie loved to maintain her garden and keeping up with vegetables. She loved having cook outs with her family, stopping at all the garage sales, playing old video games and cooking for her family. Her main passion in life was spending her time with her grandchildren, watching them grow and making memories with them over the years.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Virgie will be held at the Centurions Motorcycle Clubhouse, 21770 Waubascon Road, Battle Creek, MI 49017 on June 20, 2019 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm, please bring a dish to pass.
