Obituary for Walter Henry McCauley

Walter Henry McCauley went home to the Lord on November 3, 2022. He was born in St. James, Michigan on September 19, 1932. Walter served in the US Army, stationed in Nevada during the 1950’s. Walter and Marilyn Mularski were married 62 years, with her passing on April 8, 2020. Walter is survived by his sons, David McCauley of Caledonia, Michigan, Michael (Kathy) McCauley of Maryville, Illinois, and daughter, Lorene (Steve) Frisbie of Battle Creek, Michigan. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Megan Bloch, Lindsey Bonfiglio, Jared Frisbie and Daniel Frisbie.

Walter retired from the banking industry finishing his last 20 years with Post Credit Union. After retirement, Marilyn and Walt enjoyed 22 winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He will be laid to rest at the Memorial Garden in Battle Creek, Michigan with a private family service. Memorial donations can be made to St. Philip Catholic Church.

From his grandchildren: Our Papa was a real treasure. He always knew when we needed a laugh and when to sneak us candy. His humor and wit just scratch the surface of what an amazing man he was. He loved watching us grow up on the lake, taking us on amazing cruise trips, and doing anything to make our Grandma happy. The selflessness and love he gave us will carry on for years to come. Through heartbreak, we find peace knowing he is with love, at last.
