Waltraude “Trudy” Wissner, age 74, of Battle Creek, MI, went to be with Jesus Friday, August 9, 2013. She was born to Joseph and Mary Scheisser in Austria May 12, 1939. There she resided and in 1954 she came to the United States where she attended Battle Creek Central High School. She married Horst Wissner October 29, 1955. Trudy was employed with Cut Rate Grocery Store for 20 years. She enjoyed many activities, the outdoors, fishing, camping up north, both water and snow skiing, collected dolls, and loved swimming, She knitted and crocheted with perfection. Trudy was an excellent cook, making everything from scratch.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Horst; children, Joanie (Donald) Anderson, Michael (Susan) Wissner, Monika (Timothy) Thornton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Kurt (Joanie) Schiesser. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Johnson; daughter-in-law, Caryl (Flo) Wissner.
