Obituary for Willard James Straubel
Willard "Butch" James Straubel, 74, lifelong resident of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his home. He was born on June 22, 1948, the son of Robert Louis Straubel and Lois Irene (Willey) Straubel-Guthrie.
Butch attended Battle Creek Central High School. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 465 in Climax, MI. Butch's heart and soul was centered around his Harley. He loved to ride and made many friends in connection with his bike.
Butch is survived by his daughter, Amber Straubel; granddaughters, Hannah (Michael) Straubel and Madison; great grandchildren, Michael, Colson and Nova Green; and many other nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eric Straubel; grandson, Kaleb Straubel; sister, Lois Robinson and brother, Robert Straubel.
At this time cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at We Are Saints Again Bar & Grill from 11 am - 2 pm.
