Willia  Faye   Bevel
Willia Faye Bevel, 77, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on June 20, 1940, the daughter of Chester Jenkins and Loretha (Pierce) Jenkins.
Faye was very active at the Upton Avenue Original Church of God, she was President of the Nurses Board, a member of the Mothers Board, Senior Choir, UMCA Mass Choir, Anniversary Committee and the Missionaries and taught Sunday School. She was also active on the Federal Center Bowling League.
Faye is survived by her Husband of 52 years - David Bevel of Battle Creek, Michigan; Two Daughters, Kimberly A. Nichols of Battle Creek, MI, Daphne D. Bevel of Battle Creek, MI; Sister, Emma J. (Charles) Smith of Alexandria, VA; Two Grandsons, Michael A. (Mercedes) Nichols, Marco A. Nichols; Three Granddaughters, Danielle N. Bevel, J'Leace A. Nichols, Loretha A. McDonald and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Loretha Jenkins, Father, Chester Jenkins Sr., Sister, Yvonne Campbell, Brother, CL Jenkins, Brother, Chester (Surviving Spouse Yvonne) Jenkins, Jr., Brother, Robert L. Jenkins, Brother, Glen E. Jackson.
Faye could pass time with her crossword puzzles. She enjoyed playing video games with her children and grandchildren. She loved bowling, singing, reading and watching wrestling in her spare time. She also loved attending her church convocations.
Family hour will be held at the Upton Ave Original Church of God on Wednesday June 28, 2017 starting at 12:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Upton Ave Original Church of God, 270 Upton Ave, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 1:00 pm with Pastor Willie Moore of Upton Ave. Original Church of God officiating.
Interment will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratification to Evergreen Senior Care for treating Faye like family while she was in their care.
