Obituary for William Arnold Colver
William A. Colver, 91, of East Leroy, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. He was born on July 31, 1928, the son of William Colver and Orpha (Davidson) Colver. He retired from Eaton Corporation in 1981 after 35 years. Bill also worked as a floor inspector and fire chief. He traveled for the company for the last few years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy (Lehmann) Colver; daughter, Karen Sue (John) Colver Gaudet; 4 grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father, William Colver; mother, Orpha Colver; brother, Jacke Colver; sister, Evelyn Pinkel; sons, William Lawrence and Michael Colver.
He enjoyed fishing in Canada, snowmobiling, hunting in Colorado, and spending time at the casino. for the last 30 years Bill traveled in the fall and wintered in Florida.
The funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Monday, February 10, 2020, 11:00 am, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Mather-Voyce Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
