William M. Pickowitz, 66, of Battle Creek died at home on Friday, November 22, 2013. Bill was born on June 8, 1947 in Battle Creek, Mi to Lahoma Yates and Michael Pickowitz. He grew up in Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Miami Florida. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and attained a Associates Degree from KVCC. He served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam with the US Navy on the USS Guadalupe. He worked and retired from United Parcel Service after 28 years of service.
Bill met his wife Grace on his UPS route and married her in 1991, they had twin sons Michael and William in 1995. His family was his life and was always proud of his sons in all they did especially their musical abilities. He was an avid Pistons fan and was a philatelist (stamp collector).
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Grace; twin sons, Michael and William; sister, Janice Harding; brother, Randy DeYoung. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother and his mother-in-law.
