Willie Anderson was called home on August 2, 2011. He was born March 12, 1936 in Yazoo, Alabama. He was employed with Battle Creek Public Schools in the transportation department and also with Michigan Works. Willie was a long time member of Bethlehem Temple of Springfield.

He married Lillian Davis, February 5, 1957 and together they had and raised six children.
Cherishing his memory are: Michelle Willingham of Tacoma, Washington; Donnie (Debbie) Anderson of Trotwood, Ohio; Lisa Claiborne of Battle Creek; Cornell (Michelle) Anderson of Battle Creek; and Nicole Anderson of Battle Creek. Brothers: John Coleman of Battle Creek; and J.B. Anderson of Vaughn, Missisippi; 15 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Davis-Anderson; Father, William Anderson; Mother, Annie Anderson; Daughter, LaShon Anderson; Great Grandson, DaJour Neely; 8 Brothers: Harry Anderson, John Anderson, Burden Anderson, Ceilbert Datts, Joseph Rodgers, Jethro Hubbard, William Hubbard, Robert Cooper; 9 Sisters: Mary Hubson, Berta Mae Williams, Anniebelle Ledy, Celadys Southern, Kathalene Datts, Katherine Simpson, Berta Mae McQueen, Mary Smith, and Estella Datts.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM with funeral services following at 12 noon at Baxter Funeral Service.
