Mr. Willie James “Billy” Warren, the son of James and Mildred Warren was born on September 9, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. The family moved to Battle Creek when he was a young child. He attended Battle Creek Public School and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1966.

He married the former Flora Jones on April 1, 1967, end ended in divorce.

Billy was employed with Clark Equipment, A & T Freight, and various other places in Battle Creek. He also volunteered at the Share Center. He enjoyed sports, bowling, fishing, playing cards, chess and spending time with his family.

Billy departed this life Thursday May 31, 2012 at home. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Warren; sister, Sheena Moden. Left to cherish his memory is, special friend, Laurie Richardson of Battle Creek; sons, Terrance (Becky) Warren, Todd (Donna) Warren, Charles Witcher, all of Battle Creek; daughters, Antoinette (Terrance) Davidson, Mildred Richardson, Benjamin Richardson, Sierra Richardson all of Battle Creek, Patricia Woodson of Memphis TN; brother, Kenneth Warren of Battle Creek; sister, Carolyn Warren of Battle Creek; 27 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Family will receive friends at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 12 noon with funeral services following at 1:00PM. A burial at Oak Hill Cemetery will follow the funeral service with Pastor Tony Marshall officiating. Arrangements by the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service. (269)788-9800
