Obituary for Wilma Rae Znamer (Thurman)

Beloved/Grandmother Wilma Rae Znamer of Battle Creek Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Farleigh Senior Care Home. Born February 8,1941 to her parents Coy and Beatrice Thurman in Rural, Tennessee.

She spent her early years raising her young family and creating a loving home. Wilma later became a bookkeeper both in the family run business and then on her own. She enjoyed golfing and bowling, in which she made many wonderful friends who became like family to her. She was able to enjoy her retirement years as a snowbird in both Michigan and Florida with her late husband Tom.

She will always be remembered for her love of family. She leaves behind her children, Debby (Late Jack) Reeves, Don (Karen) Ivens Jr., and Leslie (Late John) Kearfott; her brothers, Hollis (Donna) Thurman and David (Maggie) Thurman, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; 9 Grandchildren, Sarah (Charlie) Brown, Chelsea Rankin, Nicole (Jason) Campbell, Aric-Michael Kearfott, Joshua Kearfott, Brittany (Murilo) Delgado, Cori Ivens, Abby Ivens and Maggie (Anthony Peet); and 13 Great Grandchildren, Connor, Harper and Sophie Rankin, Brooklyn and Lil Charlie Brown, Landen, Hunter, Graham and Jake Campbell, Remy, Jaxon and BJ Ivens, Eloise Peet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Beatrice Knapp; her husband, Thomas C. Znamer, granddaughter, Ashleigh Brooke Kearfott, and great-grandson, Justin Scott Wilson.

Wilma enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
