On the evening of March 31 Deborah (Debbie) Jo Eccleston, 65 passed away quietly with family at her side. She had been ill for some time and had been in Bronson Hospital for several days preceding her passing.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held on April 15 from 5PM to 7PM at Johnstown Township Hall, 13641 South M37 Battle Creek, MI.
Debbie was born February 14, 1952 in Battle Creek to Herbert and Robbie (Carter) Tackett. She attended Springfield Schools and graduated from Springfield High School in 1970.
Because of her father’s service in the Army she became a member of American Legion Post 54 where she was active in various functions including the color guard.
She was preceded in death by her father Herbert Tackett Sr.
She is survived by her husband Larry Eccleston of Battle Creek, mother Robbie Tackett of Delton, MI, a brother Herb Tackett Jr of Augusta, MI, a sister Pam Badger of Battle Creek, a daughter Marie Ferris of Delton and three grandchildren Faith, Tyden and Caden Ferris of Delton MI.
Debbie’s pastimes included baking and gardening. She also enjoyed Bingo and going to the casino.
